HI! LUCIA here.
I am a photographer. I take photos because I need to. I also take photos because others need me to and pay me for it.
I create photography travel experiences because I want to share the world with other photographers. Roadtrip, ETC. is the name for our travels.
I am a photography educator because I believe the purpose of knowledge and experience is to be shared.

HOW IT ALL STARTED”

IS THIS FOR YOU?
Being still in one place makes us rigid. Moving and facing other realities makes us see the normal as new. It is in that moment when the opportunity arises, and for those who use cameras to tell stories, that’s where the tasty bit is.
The invitation: I’m looking for travel companions, for people who are curious and sensitive with the camera, and who want to discover new landscapes while going deep into photography from different approaches. Photo enthusiasts and professional photographers are equally welcome, as we are prepared to support you in the technical or conceptual aspects you want to work on at this moment.
I’ve put all of my previous professional experiences in use to organize photographic trips centered on movement, discovery and learning. It’s a 360° experience that is not based on the destination, but in the search for the photographic opportunity. Attention to detail is our DNA as a brand.
ROADTRIP, ETC. PRINCIPLES:
-
The camera creates an inevitable distance between the photographer and the subject. We believe in the power of group activities to ignite the creative process and accelerate your learning path. We also know, how important it is to get to know new people who share a passion for the image.
-
We are no Caribbean resort, but we take care of all the planning and logistics to create experiences where your only focus has to be on discovering, learning and enjoying. We put a lot of energy into creating interesting routes, finding singular lodging and paying special attention to food as a cultural treat of the places we visit.
It´s not "All-inclusive", but... almost.
-
Photo opportunity lies everywhere, even on your way to the restroom. I know that for a fact. Our trips are camera-in-hand experiences with constant support available for you. I love teaching online workshops, but every now and then the onsite is a must. This is an onsite workshop, on steroids: 24 hours a day (almost, we also sleep).
Apart from the support while taking photos, I will conduct reviews and critique sessions during the trip so we can work on your results the next day. A final editing session will be held as part of the experience.
-
Well, what can I say? I believe less and less in photos on hard drives. Photos aren't real until we can hold them on paper.
Therefore, you will receive a final publication with the work of all of the participants of the trip. Fully edited, designed and produced for you to enjoy.
UPCOMING EXPERIENCES / Feb.2025:
11:11- KöLN
I’m ready to welcome you into my home, sitting on my sofas, surrounded by my books and creative universe, and share my German life with you.
This 6 day trip is an ode to Cologne and its tradition and folklore: The carnival, a party that goes completely overboard and even makes the personality of its citizens change radically for the best. Also an ode to the history of photography and German design in a way you haven’t read in any book before, thanks to the collaboration of Leica during this experience and as our host in Wetzlar.
We also have a very special guest, Roberto Mata from Long Distance Photo Expeditions as Lucia’s partner guiding this trip.
UPCOMING EXPERIENCES APR.2025:
FRAMING PENN /CORUÑA
An immersive workshop designed to dive into the work of Irving Penn, among photographers and photography enthusiasts, while we enjoy exploring La Coruña and savoring Galician cuisine.
A weekend journey to La Coruña to experience the “Irving Penn: Centennial” exhibition at the MOP.
This trip is crafted as an experience of enjoyment and observation, immersing ourselves in the masterful work of Penn. Lucía will lead a masterclass to deepen our understanding of his photography, followed by a visit to the exhibition and two hands-on photography sessions: a still-life shoot inspired by the works we study, and a unique portrait session using a large-format film camera, just as Penn did for many of his iconic portraits.
